Life support equipment is equipment that is necessary to ensure the ongoing health and safety of people with certain medical conditions. Generally, life support equipment requires a continuous supply of electricity, which means your electricity retailer must be made aware of any life support equipment on your property.
If you or someone at your home requires continuous electricity supply for the use of life support equipment, please download and complete the appropriate form for your state from the selection below.
Sensitive load is a requirement for the supply of electricity for medical purposes which do not fall within the registration requirements of life support equipment. For example, properties that house the elderly, continuous positive airway pressure devices (in Victoria), and surgeries, may be considered to have sensitive loads.
A property with a sensitive load does not receive the priority given to properties with life support equipment. Importantly, a property with sensitive load may not be recognised by your distributor and can be disconnected by us or your distributor.
If you have any questions about life support equipment, or sensitive load, please get in touch by emailing us at info@koganenergy.com.au, or calling us on 1300 005 123 Monday-Friday, 8am-7pm AEST.

Please note that if you do not return a completed copy of your life support registration form to us, we may remove the life support flag from your account. This means your distributor will not have your property marked as requiring life support, and you will not be entitled to the above rights.
